Baby Trend: whatever you did to your diaper pail bags please change them back! When we first started using these bags over a year ago, they were great. We didn't care that they were a more expensive than buying trash bags or reusing other bags. They fit the pail properly, were thick plastic (almost like a contractor grade trash bag you'd get from a hardware store), never tore and best of all NO SMELL from the Diaper Champ. It really made a difference that the bags were well constructed and not porous. I purchased two boxes of the refill bags this month and the bags have completely changed - they're about as thin as a cheap grocery bag now. The material they're made of is clear blue and shiny, not opaque blue like they used to be. They rip very easily and won't hold as many diapers because they're not as durable. Suddenly our Diaper Champ reeks because the smell is escaping the thinner bags. We are extremely careful to bleach wipe the entire contraption when we remove a "load" and don't put in a new bag until it's clean, so the problem isn't the diaper pail itself. It's the bags. From now on we'll be buying thicker trash bags instead of these. Too bad. I loved the Diaper Champ products compared to other pail systems until now.
