Best addition to my home made collection August 27, 2010 WinMor In my opinion, NOTHING is better than home-made baby food blended with mommy's breastmilk. After personally tasting how yalkie baby foods in the markets are (especially the ones with meat flavor), I decided to make all the baby food for my son and daughter. But, I have to say, Jack's Harvest baby food took me by surprise. They taste like real food. They have to be frozen and have an expiration date (I don't trust that baby food don't go bad for years without refrigeration). Jack's Harvest's foods are great additions to my home-made food. I'd make a pot of porridge with chicken soup, blend it with chicken breast, divide it into measured containters and freeze. When I'm ready to feed my baby, I just take a container and pop a cube or two of the peas or carrots. Then, I don't have to worry about buying/cooking half a carrot, or pealing peas like nuts. Same thing goes for pear+breastmilk+papplesauce and other recipes. Love it. Recommend it. Will continue buying and serving it.
Excellent customer service and great food!! August 12, 2010 jrivera (Georgia) I have three small children. I have a 3 year old, an almost 2 year old and an 8 month old. I used to make all my own baby food for my first child, I made about half of the food for my second child and supplemented with organic frozen foods. Unfortunately, I have not had the time to make much food for my third baby and I am heavily relying on Jack's Harvest frozen food to feed her. I have used other brands of frozen food but since my last order with them, I am a Jack's Harvest only mom! I usually order off of Amazon and have great success. I live south of Atlanta so it doesn't take too long to receive my shipment since they are based in GA. The last order was just a day or so later than I expected but it was not a problem for me. To my surprise, there was a hand written note from Jo Jo House (VP, Operations) apologizing for the delay and had included an extra bag of food!! I was shocked! I thought customer service like that was gone in this day and age. It was a wonderful experience. My baby and I love this food!
Delicious and healthy! June 24, 2010 Shroda (McLean, VA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This baby food is so delicious, it actually makes me want to eat my veggies! My six-month-old has liked every flavor. It is convenient for me to grab one or two of the smaller size or one of the bigger size out of the freezer and pop it in the microwave for a few seconds. For breakfast, I just mix one of the smaller size with cereal. Preparing and freezing food is something I would do for my son if I only had the time, so I am very happy to have found Jack's! Also, although the Amazon webpage indicates a 4-6 week shipping time, the food actually arrives in 2 or 3 days (with free shipping).
This is the GOOD stuff! May 30, 2010 L. Daugherty (Columbus, OH) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After doing a lot of research, I purchased this from Amazon. It arrived quickly & very frozen. My baby loved all of it. This food looks real - unlike some of the stuff in the jars. I tasted everything before giving it to my baby & I truly liked it too! Jack's Harvest has great products!
Most delicious food ever May 7, 2010 Music Maya (McLean, VA) These organic baby foods are so delicious, I am always tempted to defrost a few for myself as well. I originally bought them because a magazine article said the photographer couldn't stop snacking on them. Now I see why. The sweet potato is like a yummy dessert pudding. The carrots and slightly minted peas are so fresh they are like eating from a garden. My 8 month old can't get enough of these. The mango is a little tart for her but I'm going to start mixing it with other flavors she likes better. It seems redundant to say these taste like real food because they are real food. But they are so superior to the organic jar food in taste. And easy to use in the cute heart shaped frozen portions. I am going to ask my local Whole Foods to stock them too.
