My baby brother has both asthma & allergy and needs to have his room moistened up~ This product was not only cute and entertaining for him (he loves to see the mist come out of the penguin's mouth) but very very easy to use.

I bought this device for my bedroom 'cause my location is very dry. What can I say, it makes a great display and it functions very well! I love it. It has multiple output settings. It goes from barely detectable to feeling cool steam room mist.
As for length of time the water inside will last, the humidifier lasted me for at least 2 days straight without refills. But that depends on which setting you put it on.
In terms of the white dust particles that occurs, any filtered water will fix that problem. I use Brita filtered water.
The penguin head also allow around 180 degree rotation for directional control. The water reservoir has a nice handle, which i don't recommend using by itself when the container is full. Two hands support is preferred.

I bought one based on its popularity in Amazon. But the quality is extremely bad. It only works for the first month, and I found no way to make it work again. No mints come out ever. Nothing is wrong with the operation, nothing is wrong with the electricity. Just don't know what's wrong with the machine.
I strongly recommend you NOT spend [...] bucks for this 30-day low quality stuff. Stay away from it.

I purchased this humidifier to counter the drying effects on the air of my window unit a/c. It also had a unique design that certainly makes it a conversation topic. When it's in use, it effectively humidifies my small bedroom.
However, there are several major issues with it that are causing me to wish that I had purchased a different humidifier:
1. The refill design is horrible. It can only be filled by taking off the top half, turning it upside down, then refilling it. However, if there is water in the unit still, taking off the top causes water to spill everywhere. Even moving the unit slightly causes water to spill out of the crack separating the top half from the bottom half. If you plan to use this while you sleep (like I do), then you need to plan ahead of time exactly how much water to fill the thing up with in the first place. It's really a chore and a hassle.
2. Mold and "slime" builds up quickly inside the unit. Even when the top half, the "reservoir," is empty and the unit shuts off automatically, there is still stagnant water in the bottom half. This water quickly turns very gross and requires frequent cleaning.
