Amazon.com Breastfeeding mothers know that let-down can occur at the most inopportune times. It can be triggered by missing a scheduled feeding, hearing a baby crying (whether your own or someone else's), or even just thinking about your baby. And, of course, leaks always seems to happen when you're in the middle of an important business presentation or wearing your best silk dress at a friend's wedding. These extra absorbent disposable nursing pads have a soft, comfortable lining that rests against the skin. The lining draws excess moisture away from skin and into a polymer core in the center. A laminated waterproof lining against your clothing prevents milk from getting any further. The pads are incredibly thin (2 mm) and contoured like a breast, so they don't look stiff or unnatural under clothing. Adhesive tape on the back of each pad secures it to undergarments to keep it from shifting during the day. Each pad comes individually wrapped for hygienically transporting them in a briefcase or diaper bag. --Cristina Vaamonde

Everyone I knew told me I had to use the Lansinoh pad and to not even bother trying any of the others. And they were right! After making the decision to breastfeed, leaking in public was a real fear of mine. Your wonderful product has taken care of that. Not only do I never leak through, but no one can even tell I am wearing a pad. I can't believe how discreet they are no matter what I'm wearing. Now I can feel confident all day and even sleep through the night, when Koume will let me, without waking up soaked. Fits well, absorbs well August 25, 2010 Bayley These fit very well and are pretty thin. I've been wearing thin tshirts for the summer and usually the pads don't show through. I've never had a problem with them leaking through at all. They stay put just fine without the adhesive. My only complaint is that they get dislodged when you actually nurse, and the adhesive doesn't seem strong enough to keep them in place. So you just have to reposition them after you're done nursing.
If it's not broken, why try to fix it?! August 23, 2010 C. Yelland (Oakland, CA) I loved, LOVED these nursing pads.
Before they "improved" upon them (as mentioned by another reviewer).
The size is now slightly smaller. The folded pads now "stick" together at the seams, making unfolding them much more difficult (especially with one hand). The placement of absorbant material is also not continuous within the pad anymore - making leaks much more of a possibility.
If I change them regularly throughout the day (which I never had to do before), I can avoid leaking - but leaks are an almost nightly occurrance when sleeping.
The only benefit to these that I can see is the extra adhesive patch for securing the pads to clothing. I'm stuck with 4 boxes because I used to love these so much I ordered in bulk. I'm hoping Lansinoh will take some of the negative feedback to heart and change back to the original design...these WERE the best pads on the market.
does the job specified August 1, 2010 jojoe These pads are comfortable & reasonably durable.I didn't have major leaking so cannot say how absorbent they were.I would buy them again
Does its purpose June 17, 2010 Hilo I haven't tried other disposable pads but from my experience these pads are good and I have not leaked so far. I have recently purchased the washable pads to use while I am at home then I can use the disposable when I go out. It works out great for me.
Hate the "Improvements" June 16, 2010 J A Cook 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Lansinoh, though one of the pricier pads on the market, used to be what I would consider far and away the best. They're thin, discreet, don't wiggle, and hold a lot of milk. I am on the larger side (C before pregnancy, DD while nursing) and rather leaky but once I found these pads I have never had a coverage problem and rarely had a leak. The individual packets could be a little tough to get open but were great for stuffing in the diaper bag.
Now, however, Lansinoh has altered their product. I took three boxes back to the store because I assumed there must be some kind of mistake (there was, but not as big as I hoped). The pad is smaller and now slides right under my breast, leaving the pertinent parts exposed. The new wrapping is much harder to get open. I hope that shrinking the size saved them a lot of money because it has lost them a very regretful customer. I still love the company and I'll still be buying their lanolin and diaper ointment, but I hate to see the best pad on the market tank for what I can only assume are financial reasons. I would have been happy to pay another dollar or two a box if that's what it took to keep them afloat. I am now scouring the market for another pad to replace it.
